With health and government officials urging people to stay home as much as possible in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are looking for productive and comforting ways to pass the time indoors.

Cue the resurgence of cooking and baking as two of the most tried-and-true activities for not only keeping busy, but also learning valuable skills.

Now that I’m hunkered down for a few days, or weeks, here in Munich I’m wondering, “What should I make” or alternatively which restaurant has a great delivery service.

Here are 4 tips from the experts for cooking from the pantry while you’re stuck at home.

1. Make big batches of basics

2. Play around with staple ingredients

3. Incorporate fresh veggies whenever possible
